Built for Communities,
By a Community
Most Minecraft hosts make you choose: cheap but oversold, or reliable but overpriced. We don't think that's a fair trade.
The hosting industry is broken
Deceptive pricing with hidden fees. AI chatbots replacing human support. Oversold nodes causing degraded performance. Hosts that fundamentally misunderstand modded servers.
Cancellation is deliberately difficult. "One-click modpack installation" rarely works. RAM guidance is wrong. Support staff can't troubleshoot beyond restarting servers.
We've been there. We got tired of it. So we built something better.
Common frustrations we've experienced:
- Low introductory rates that spike on renewal
- Critical features locked behind expensive add-ons
- AI chatbots that can't resolve real issues
- Performance degrading as hosts oversell hardware
- Cancellation requiring tickets that go unanswered
- "One-click modpack installation" that rarely works
- Wrong RAM guidance for heavy modpacks
- Support staff who can't troubleshoot mod conflicts
No overselling. No chatbots. No gotchas.
Just hosting that works.
Radical Transparency
Public node stats, real-time dashboards. See exactly what you're paying for.
No-Gotcha Pricing
Same features every plan. You're just paying for RAM.
Built for Modpacks
Ryzen 9 7950X3D, DDR5 ECC, NVMe. Hardware that handles heavy packs.
Humans, Not Chatbots
Support from people who've actually crashed a server before.
Our Vision
To become the most trusted and innovative Minecraft hosting provider, setting a new standard for what server owners should expect from their host.
Our Mission
To deliver exceptional Minecraft server hosting through unwavering reliability, radical transparency, and a relentless focus on what players and communities actually need.
Our Core Values
Customer Obsession
Every decision starts with: "Does this benefit our customers?" We exist to serve server owners and their communities.
Radical Transparency
No hidden fees. No vague downtime excuses. No corporate speak. We tell it like it is, even when it's uncomfortable.
Relentless Reliability
Uptime isn't a marketing claim. It's a promise. Our customers' servers are their communities. We treat them that way.
Restless Innovation
The industry got comfortable. We didn't. We're always asking what hosting could be, not just what it's always been.
Community at the Core
We're not just a service provider, we're part of the ecosystem. We build with you, not just for us.
A message from Shay
I started Obsidian Servers because I was tired of the same problems everyone faces with Minecraft hosting. Oversold servers. Support that doesn't understand the game. Hidden fees that appear after you've already set everything up.
We're not trying to be the biggest host. We're trying to be the one you'd actually recommend to a friend. The one where you know exactly what you're getting, and it just works.
Every decision we make starts with one question: "Does this benefit our customers?" If the answer isn't yes, we don't do it.

Built for communities like yours
Friend Groups
5-20 players setting up a server to play together. You want it to just work without becoming a sysadmin.
Small Communities
20-50 players with a Discord community. You've been burned by oversold nodes and unresponsive support before.
Modpack Players
Running ATM10, Vault Hunters, or 200+ mod packs. You need hardware that won't choke and RAM guidance that's actually correct.
